ADI manufactures and provides in-service support for the major gun systems used by the Australian Defence Force.

This service is based at the Bendigo and Lithgow facilities that have an extensive background in Defence weapons and provide the major Australian expertise in this area.

This service is provided as a 'partnership' under licence agreements and long-term contracts with the owners of the intellectual property for the particular weapons. These agreements bring the benefits of the involvement and back-up of offshore principals owning intellectual property and having additional extensive support resources.

The outcome of these 'partnering' type relationships is the provision of a comprehensive and expert manufacture and support service.

The ability to manufacture, assemble and set to work these high integrity systems has been firmly established and demonstrated by contracts of this nature spanning the last three decades.

High quality, in-service support of the systems is a major aspect of ADI's competitiveness.

Intermediate level maintenance assistance is provided through to depot level refurbishment back to specification. A complete integrated support service including configuration management and management of equipment maintenance records can be provided.

• 5/54 Gun Mount Hoist and Loader Assemblies under contract to United Defense, USA
• ADI AN4 40/60 Bofors Naval Gun Mount
• 105mm Light Gun under licence to British Aerospace, Royal Ordnance, Nottingham, UK

Lithgow (Light Calibre)

• 5.56mm Minimi Light Support Weapon, under licence to FN Herstal, S.A.
• 5.56mm F88 Austeyr Rifle, under licence to Steyr Mannlicher AG
• .22 Calibre F88 Austeyr Training Rifle, under licence to Steyr Mannlicher AG
