SteyrADI's facility in Lithgow, New South Wales, is primarily engaged in the manufacture and remanufacture of military small arms. ADI is currently manufacturing four world leading military small arms weapons with the principle output from the Lithgow facility being the F88 Austeyr rifle. The four light weapons are:
ADI also manufactures and services a range of small arms components and offers re-engineering, refurbishing and upgrade services for a variety of small arms. 5.56mm F88 Austeyr rifleThe Steyr assault rifle is manufactured under licence to Steyr Mannlicher AG by ADI and supplied to the armed forces of Australia and New Zealand as well as other overseas countries. This state-of-the-art weapon is in service in over 30 countries. This military weapon meets today's challenging and unpredictable combat situations with the following features:
.22 Calibre F88 Austeyr Training RifleADI has developed a .22 calibre training rifle for use by the Australian Army. The weapon provides an economical training alternative, with very low ammunition cost, which can be used in environmentally sensitive training areas and indoor areas for special force training with reduced risk to trainees and instructors.
