ADI's Behind Armour Commander's Weapons Station is a compact, lightweight, sophisticated weapons turret, providing exceptional flexibility in the observation, acquisition and engagement of targets.

It features ballistic protection, a day and low light or uncooled thermal imaging sight and electronic servo drives for elevation and traverse operation. The colour day/night camera is linked to a flat panel liquid crystal display screen to provide crisp, clear images. Fields of view are 2.5° and 10°, with an additional 30° wide field of view in night vision mode. This allows commanders to make use of behind or below armour protection in the operation of their weapons systems with complete control at their fingertips.

Precise, quiet control

The precise hand controller includes a palm switch, trigger and field of view switch. The computer controlled brushless DC motor provides quiet, full servo drive position control.

Exceptional stability

The primary weapon is the 12.7mm (50 calibre) machine gun. The exceptionally stable weapon platform provided by ADI's Behind Armour Commander's Weapons Station ensures accurate application of fire with exceptionally high first round hit probability to the effective range of the weapon.

Flexible configuration features

ADI's Behind Armour Commander's Weapons Station can be configured to a number of vision/protection trade-offs by the commander. The hatch opens forward and rearward.
