ADI has developed proven expertise in design, manufacture, integration and support for sophisticated weapon systems. A long history in the manufacture and support of guided weapon components and assemblies including missiles, handling equipment, launch equipment and launch containers reinforces ADI's capability. This capability resides within ADI's Land - Engineering and Vehicles Group at Bendigo, the Ordnance Group at the Melbourne, Mulwala, Benalla and Lithgow sites, and the Electronic Systems and Naval sites in Sydney. The guided weapons platform integration capability is also located at Naval, Garden Island, Sydney.

ADI participates in guided weapons programs for the Australian Defence Force (ADF) including land, aerospace and naval missile systems, rockets and smart munitions. In addition, ADI is the partner of choice for leading international guided weapons and aerospace designers seeking Australian design assistance, manufacture and through life support for equipment.

ADI's Land - Ordnance business group coordinates ADI's role. Land - Ordnance provides the initial point of contact for all new guided weapon system programs including above and underwater types, launch equipment and smart munitions.
