Shafts

Boilers/heat exchangers

Hard polymers

Springs

Tube, piping and flanges

Engine and oil filter debris

Gears

Orthopaedic implants

Gas turbine components, blades, discs, nozzles, aluminide and M-Cr-Al-Y overlay coatings, oxidation, hot corrosion etc.

Coatings, electroplated, sprayed, paint, etc.

  • Identification of metal failure mechanisms, such as:

Ductile and brittle

Hydrogen embrittlement

Creep

Fatigue
