New propellant Trail Boss released
17 July 2007
After unprecedented success within the U.S single action shooting market - including the prestigious SASS WOOLY "Product of the year" award - Trail Boss will be available to the Australian re-loader from mid-August 2007.
After six years development, and using advanced design technology, Trail Boss is perfectly suited to the low velocity projectile loads used in single action shooting. Trail Boss allows high loading volumes of between 50 to 100% in normal applications - this yields reduced position sensitivity and decreased velocity variation - not to mention enhanced safety since double-loading becomes almost impossible. This innovative propellant also achieves superior flow characteristics even though it has a reduced bulk density. And, it has an absolutely unique appearance that makes it extremely difficult to mistake this propellant for any other.
Please follow the attached links and read the rave reviews and comments from prestigious U.S shooting magazines on this new and revolutionary propellant.
AR2206H replaces AR2206
11 July 2007
Propellant AR2206H is finally set to replace AR2206 on the Australian & New Zealand reloading market. AR2206H is an improved variation of AR2206, and is designed to optimise heavy projectile performance where it increases projectile velocity while at the same time reduces chamber pressures. It is suitable for use in a similar range of calibres and powder loads as AR2206.
AR2206H was released into the North American market in 1999, and is distributed by the Hodgdon Powder Co. under the brand name H4895. This powder has proven to be extremely popular in the USA due to its superior loading consistency and its unrivalled performance stability in severe temperature variations. Distribution to such a demanding and variable market also means that we can offer more reloading data to cover your favourite calibre-projectile combinations. Australian handloaders can now experience the many benefits of reloading with AR2206H.
Colour change of AR2205
10 May 2007
The colour of AR2205 has been made darker to align its appearance with other ADI sporting propellants sold in the US market. The change in colour has not changed the powder's ballistic performance therefore reloading data using AR2205 does not need to be altered.
Review of pack sizes for rifle powders
24 November 2006
ADI has recently reviewed propellants and the pack sizes offered in the Australian and New Zealand commercial markets. Due to low volume sales of 4kg packs of AR2205, AR2213SC and AR2217, it has been decided to offer these products in the 500 gram container only. Bench Mark 1, Bench Mark 2, AR2219 and AR2225 will also be available in the 500g pack only. However due to increase popularity of the propellant AR2206H, it will now be available in the 500g and the 4kg container sizes.

New propellant AR2206H released.
18 August 2004
This new ADI propellant has a burning rate slightly
slower than the AR2206 powder and is in between the AR2206 and AR2208 powders.
It is a very versatile powder in a range of calibres giving outstanding accuracy.
New propellant AR2219 released.
18 May 2004
This new ADI propellant was originally
developed for the Australian Defence Force for use in 5.56mm weapons. The
burning rate for AR2219 lies between Bench Mark 1 and Bench Mark 2. This
propellant offers excellent accuracy, repeatability and reliability in small
and medium capacity cartridges.
